Better Outlook?

I am really trying to have a better outlook on life right now.  I am not succeeding very well at this moment.  Things with Joe are at an all time low.  He is not making this process very easy and I just feel so overwhelmed with it.  Also, a week from today I will be 30.  I am not handling this birthday very well.  I know I have a choice to make the best of it or not, but I am just feeling depressed and everything with Joe, it is just hard.  Sorry I am bitching, I just had to get this out.

I had an awesome lunch and afternoon with Mary (a fellow blogger) yesterday.  We met up for a late lunch and then did some shopping!  She is so sweet!   We are going to an Alabama football game together in a couple of weeks and I can't wait!!

  1. :( I'm sorry he is being an ass-munch. Totally unfair. Its hard to look on the bright side sometimes, because sometimes things just suck! But you will get through this. And you will be better for it. And we love you of course!

  2. Oh I want to kick that douchebag...please don't let him make you feel a certain way. You have the power to deal with this and the strength and family and friends behind you. Easier said than done but I'm sure this is the rain before the rainbow. Much love!

  3. Divorce is hard and while you are in the midst of it it is hard to see the up side of things..but soon very soon you will see both the huge opportunity that has opened up to you and the growth gained by the experience. Keep your eye on the end as much as you can.

I am 11 years out from mine and life is really good and I grew tremendously in the process and because of the choice. If you need an ear I am here for you as are, I am sure all of us other divorced bandsters :)

  4. Try not to worry too much about 30. It is really just another birthday, another year. Sorry you're having such a hard time with your ex.

  8. I'm sorry he's being a jerk. Once this is all over, you will be a stronger, better woman for it. I know it doesn't necessarily seem like it now though...

Roll tide! :) Love you, girl.

  9. This is what I have to say about being in my thirties...its SO much better than the 20's! When I turned 30 I did freak out bc I thought I should be farther along in life...more money, better job, etc. But I am pretty much over that. hahaha...

now I know that in our 20's we THINK we are the shit and know a lot, but in our 30's we realize we don't know much at all! It's kinda freeing! And we ARE getting better looking dont you think :0)
