Good Saturday

As stated above, I had a good saturday.  I woke up and had a text from a friend asking if I wanted to meet her to go shopping.  Is the Pope Catholic?!  Yes, I wanted to go shopping!!   I met her about an hour later and had a great time!  We did some shopping and then went to Bob Baumhower's Wings restaurant.  They have typical bar food.  I was very proud of myself.  I usually get this sandwich that is a breaded chicken patty soaked in wing sauce on a bun with cheese and bacon.  It's really good.  However, I was not that hungry and since my last fill I have not been doing so hot with bread.  Plus it's not the healthiest thing on the menu.  I ended up getting 1/2 a grilled baked potato and a side of grits.  I ate about 1/2 the potato and 1/2 the grits and I was full.  This fill is doing the trick!  Plus my bill was only $3.49!!!

After I got home, Joe and I went out and looked around at some shops and went to dinner.  Still wasn't that hungry, so I ended up with a grilled chicken salad at Cracker Barrel.  I only ate about 1/4 of it and was full.  I am loving this!!

On a sad note, can ya'll please say a prayer for a girl I went to high school with?  She has been battling cervical cancer since 2007 and tonight she is going to be with the Lord.  We were not best friends, just acquaintaces but she was one of the nicest people.  She had a little girl in 2007 and just 6 months later was diagnosed.  She kept an online journal and her husband has been updating it.  Today he wrote that Rachel has been busy writing out birthday cards for their daughter so she can remember her.  It just makes me so sad.  Here is a link to a news story about Rachel and her story.  http://www.myfoxatlanta.com/dpp/news/Health_Watch_Cervical_Cancer_Story_072809
